On Monday, President-elect Donald Trump chose neurosurgeon Ben Carson as secretary of housing and urban development.
He cited his poor childhood in Detroit as a qualification for the job, because no experience in politics.
Because he grew up fatherless in the inner city. Knows exactly what it’s like to be pressured into thug life. He, with the help of his mother, pulled himself up by his bootstraps, escaped the ghetto through education and hard work and went on to the very pinnacle of success in his chosen field. What an inspiration! He knows what the inner cities need and Trump has vowed to rebuild the inner cities and improve their schools. Carson is the perfect man for the job.
In Tump’s team, he is first black who is selected.
According to BraitBart, Trump said in a statement: “Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities,”
“We have talked at length about my urban renewal agenda and our message of economic revival, very much including our inner cities.”
Carson said: “I feel that I can make a significant contribution particularly by strengthening communities that are most in need.
“We have much work to do in enhancing every aspect of our nation and ensuring that our nation’s housing needs are met.”
“I grew up in the inner city,” Carson told Fox News last month. “And have spent a lot of time there. And have dealt with a lot of patients from that area.”
